Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Simplify Connect ("we", "us") when you use Eazi eSIM. Written to be read — if anything here is unclear, the privacy policy covers how we handle your data.

1. What Eazi eSIM is

Eazi eSIM sells prepaid mobile data on local networks, delivered as an eSIM. When you buy from us you become a prepaid subscriber on the actual local network (for example Vodacom or MTN South Africa) at the local prepaid rate — not a roaming service resold at a markup. You can also link a physical local SIM you already own ("BYO SIM") to manage and top it up through your account.

The mobile service itself — coverage, speeds, and network availability — is provided by the local network operator, not by us. Their prepaid terms apply to your use of their network alongside these terms.

2. Your account

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email address (you may optionally set a password afterwards). Your email inbox is effectively your key: keep it secure, and tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access to your account. You must be at least 18 to buy from us.

An account may hold up to 5 SIMs (purchased eSIMs and linked BYO SIMs combined).

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in your billing currency (EUR or USD) before you pay, and the price at checkout is the whole price — the data bundle plus any one-off eSIM fee for the network, shown separately where one applies. There are no contracts and no recurring charges: every purchase is a one-off you choose to make.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Bundle prices may change over time; a change affects future purchases only.

4. SIM registration (RICA / KYC)

Some networks legally require identity registration before a SIM may be activated — in South Africa this is the RICA Act. Where it applies, we collect your passport details at checkout and submit them to the network operator for registration. This is a legal requirement of the destination country, not our choice. We do not ask for a scan or photo of your passport, and we keep the registration details only for as long as the privacy policy states.

You must provide accurate details about yourself. An eSIM cannot activate until the network approves the registration, and knowingly registering a SIM with false details is an offence in most jurisdictions.

5. Activation, validity, and top-ups

You choose when your data bundle activates at checkout; your eSIM is delivered immediately and the bundle is purchased at your chosen time, so the validity clock starts when your trip does. Each bundle shows its validity period before you buy. Unused data expires at the end of that period, per the network's prepaid rules.

Your eSIM is yours to keep: it does not expire with the bundle, and you can top it up at any time rather than buying a new SIM for the next trip. Top-ups apply to the specific SIM you choose and are not transferable between SIMs or accounts.

6. BYO SIMs

You may link a physical local SIM you already hold. To prevent anyone claiming a number that isn't theirs, we verify possession with a one-time SMS code to that number before the SIM can be added or its balance read. You may only link SIMs you lawfully hold.

Linked SIMs include a free balance-check window (currently 7 days); after it ends, buying data for the SIM keeps balance checks available.

7. Refunds

If we fail to deliver what you paid for — for example your eSIM cannot be provisioned or your bundle cannot be activated — we refund the purchase automatically and notify you. Once a bundle has been delivered to the network and its data made available, it cannot be returned, as the cost has been incurred with the operator.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you hold as a consumer in your country.

8. Fair use

You may not use the service for anything unlawful, to send spam or unsolicited messages, to resell connectivity commercially without our written agreement, or in any way that harms the underlying networks or other users. The network operator's own acceptable-use rules also apply.

9. Service limits and liability

We work hard to make delivery instant and reliable, but the service depends on third parties — local network operators, payment processing, and your device's eSIM support. We are not liable for network coverage, speeds, or outages on the operator's side, nor for devices that are locked or not eSIM-capable. Check your device before buying.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.

10. Changes and ending

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date above, and continued use after a change means acceptance. You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with any unused, still-valid purchases handled per section 7.

11. The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction — pending legal review] . If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands.
